    The Functions of School Systems

    This framework is organized into seven functional areas. Each area defines and illustrates specific topics with suggested questions and tasks for school leaders. The document is intended to provide practical information while providing a view of the roles and systemic relationships of principals, superintendents and board members. This is a reference tool useful for examiningf any function of a school system. It is intended for frequent use on an “as needed” basis.

    The content models best practice and promotes reflective thinking. The arrangement of the material clarifies the roles of the core leadership positions in the school system.
